No California Missile Launch, It Was An Aircraft: Pentagon. It has been three days since a particular missile-contrail video posted on the website which created quite a buzz . The video apparently showed a missile being shot off to the skies in south California going on in the western direction after having left a contrail over the waters of the pacific ocean.

Initially an in depth investigation was undertaken to find out if the object on film was indeed a missile and if any wing of the department of US defense had anything to do with this. The US Navy, air force quickly denied that they accidentally launched a missile from an aircraft carrier or other offshore base.

The DoD came up empty handed at the end of the investigation but they confirmed that neither the navy, nor air force, nor the military had launched any missiles in the area.

Apparently the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) and the US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) issued a joint statement saying that the vapour trail was not the result of any foreign military launching a missile, but gave no further details. You’ve got to think that back at NORAD and NORTHCOM HQs, a lot of military top brass were giggling to themselves at that.Pentagon also confirmed that it was an aircraft.

As John Pike, director of the US-based security analyst firm globalsecurity.org, said: “It’s an airplane that is heading toward the camera and the contrail is illuminated by the setting sun.” Well. Yes.
